Introducing Altura | Brisbane’s first neuroarchitecture inspired development

This month it has been our great pleasure to launch West Village’s showpiece residential offering, Altura residences.

As Brisbane’s first neuroarchitecture inspired development, Altura is a building designed for health and wellness. Conceived in a visionary cross-studio collaboration between Smart Design Studio, Nettletontribe, Carr and RPS Group, the 22-storey building presents a collection of just 147 residences with extraordinary biophilic and wellness elements.

This extends from the extensive planting at the ground and rooftop levels, to cascading gardens along the façade, and the mature Kauri Pine Grove on the level 3 podium.

The rooftop is designed as a sensory wellness retreat, with inclusions such as a heated infinity edge jet lap pool, magnesium spa, sauna, extensive cooking facilities and gardens.

It is an elevated design approach, that entwines neuroarchitecture and biophilic design to promote mental and physical wellness, supporting residents in balancing work and home life, increasing wellbeing and reducing stress.

I am truly passionate about the rare lifestyle opportunity created by the combination of these wellness aspects and the broader community of West Village.

The feeling of community that comes with living at West Village is impossible to replicate. At its heart is an eclectic, design-driven mix of community, arts, retail and green spaces, and a strong environmental consciousness.

As our showpiece residential building, Altura takes these values and elevates them through its highly curated neuroarchitecture approach.

Our Project Director Harrison Phillips has described Altura’s design philosophy as being a place that does things for people, instead of a place where people do things, and I believe the team has absolutely brought this to life.

The multi-sensory design approach was carefully considered to influence mood, emotion and behaviour. Everything is designed to assist in evoking positive and calming emotions to provide better sleep, stimulate creative thinking and offer a feeling of enhanced happiness.

Outside the residences themselves there’s also been a focus on social connectivity for the community, providing spaces for Altura’s residents to connect with friends, family and neighbours.

The excitement felt by our growing community is evident in the significant interest received already, with 71 expressions of interest received on the day of launch.
