The team at Real Living and West Village have come together to deliver new and creative ways of supporting all our residents during this unprecedented time. We’ve all had to view the world from a different perspective over the past few weeks and have come up with some inspiring ways of ensuring members of our West Village community remain connected and entertained.

We have also been working with the director of Doggy Day Care Brisbane to bring you some infinite wisdom when it comes to looking after your dogs at West Village. Kaz has also provided insight into the best places to walk with your dogs and get some exercise around West End.
We understand that some residents in the building might need extra assistance during this time to get groceries or supplies. We would like to set up a buddy system and ask that you email us on admin@reallivingwv.com.au to confirm if you would like to donate some time to this program or if specific assistance is required. As part of this program we would look to set up some ongoing online catch ups with residents.
Construction Update
West Village continues to develop as a precinct, with the highly anticipated retail and Factory 1 works now taking place throughout 2020 and into early 2021.
Hutchinson builders continue to work on site and are making real progress. The structure for the main retail stage is in progress and the builders have now reached podium one. This forms the roof of our retail tenancies. Following completion of this we will be able to move to working on the indoor environment for these specialty retailers. The columns and walls of the main retail area are now up to podium level 3.
Factory 1 structural works are ongoing, with new beams and walls underway. There will be works to the Factory 1 rooftop this week to remove redundant structures. The stairs outside Factory 2 are currently being landscaped and will be finished in late April, reinstating the connection from Wilson Lane to the Common.
The Garden Pantry remains open and both Mr Bunz and Cheeky Poke will continue to offer delicious food for takeaway and delivery. Cheeky Poke has also created a whole new range of individual lines for those of you who want to create their own Cheeky masterpieces. Meals include soups, DIY tacos and nachos, cheeky make your own boxes and signature poke boxes and can be delivered right to your door.
home Yoga
We know quite a few of our residents have enjoyed The Common yoga program – we are now bringing this online for you to enjoy from the comfort of your balcony or living room.
Our very own West Village gardener Amelia Valenti has offered some tips on how to tend to balcony gardens and grow herbs whilst you might have a bit more time on your hands.
Get the kids involved in our kids in the kitchen program. Alistair McLeod and Matt Golinski provide excellent recipes to cook at home with your children that the whole family can enjoy.
Judy Scotney – the founder of the resident book club offers a book guide for all residents. Judy was previously a school principal and has also put together a children’s booklist ranging from littlies to teens.
Opera Queensland
We have once again partnered with Opera Queensland to bring you a performance to enjoy at home over Easter weekend. We will provide more information over the coming week on how you can tune in and enjoy a Weekend of Opera.
