- White A4 card
- Acrylic paint red and black
- Warm watercolours
- Water bowl
- Toilet roll
- Longish stick found in the garden
- Hole punch
Your first job is to make the love heart stamp. Take the toilet roll and flatten it at one end, making a crease along both sides. Tape this end in place.
At the open end of the roll, with your fingers pinch the bottom of the open end to make the bottom V tip of the love heart. Then make a downward crease on the edge of the roll directly above the V shaped pinch. It should look like a love heart now.
On the white card stamp out your flowers using the red acrylic paint. Stamp 4x heart petals per flower. Make sure the V tip of the love heart is at the centre of each flower. Stamp as many flowers as you like, put them aside to dry.
Using the red watercolour paints paint in the petals. They should dry as you go. Then using the cork stamp in the black middle part of the flower.
Cut out the flowers, and punch a hole in one petal of each flower.
Next, cut lengths of string for your flowers to hang on. Try to cut varying lengths of string.
Tie the string onto the flower through the hole you have made and then position the flowers on the stick. Tie it all together when you are happy with the layout. Hang it up in your home or outside to blow in the breeze.
Instead of making these flowers into a mobile, you could stick them on a wreath, attach a green pipe cleaner stem to the back of each one and make a play flower garden, or tie them to your front fence in commemoration of Anzac day.
