- A4 card or square piece of thick cardboard
- Watercolour paints
- Paint brush
- Glue stick
- Lengths of coloured wool
- Oil pastels
- A6 pieces of coloured card/paper
- Magazine scraps
- Paper and cardboard scraps
Paint your A4 or square card all over with a mixture of rainbow colours. Leave to dry.
Draw and cut out a variety of different flower shapes using the A6 coloured card. Use a few different colours.
Rip some long strips of magazine paper and coloured card/paper and glue them on at different angles to look like the stems of the flowers. Have some pieces overlapping and try not to be too neat with this step. Make sure you leave some space at the top of the card to fit the flowers in.
Add the wool onto the collage to look like flower stems. Curl the top of each piece of wool in a circle to look like a flower. Glue them down.
Add some small more textured cardboard scraps at the bottom of the artwork to look like soil. Also glue your coloured card flower shapes onto a few of the flower stems at varying heights. Some flower petals may hang off the edge of the card to add a lovely effect.
Draw some detail to the flowers, stems and soil using oil pastels.
Now frame it , hang your artwork up, and appreciate your beautiful creation.
