- Coloured A5 paper 5 different colours
- A6 Coloured card one piece
Fold the A6 card in half and draw a butterfly body. While the card is still folded cut the shape out and put aside.
With the ruler, measure and line some strips on all the coloured paper starting at the short edge going down the page.
You will need 4 strips of each colour, I have used 6 colours but you may want to use less. Cut two of each colour about a ¼ shorter than the other.
Fold all the strips of paper in half.
Start gluing the long pieces onto the top part of one of the butterfly card cut outs and cascade them downwards to create a curve.
Cut the excess off and start on the other side keeping to the same cascading style. With the smaller lengths glue them on in the same way but pointing downwards. Cut excess off as well.
Once all the rainbow colours are glued on turn over and glue the other card cut out on. To finish the butterfly off add some feelers and a smiley face. Enjoy fluttering your butterfly around your home.
