- 3-4 toilet rolls
- 1-2 paper towel rolls
- Acrylic paints
- Paint brushes
- A6 white card
- A6 coloured card
- Black pen
- Circle stickers
Cut 1 of the paper towel rolls in 3 pieces. Lay out all toilet rolls, and cut paper towel pieces out on the table. Mix a variety of acrylic paint colours to paint on each toilet roll creature.
Paint each toilet roll creature in 1 coat of paint. Leave to dry.
While the toilet rolls dry, draw a few different facial expressions on the A6 white card with the black pen. On the coloured A6 card, draw some sets of wings, spikes and other shapes to glue onto your creature later.
Cut out the facial expressions, and coloured card shapes.
Once the toilet roll creatures are dry, glue the faces, wings and spikes on each creature to make a new and funny creature each time. You can also use circle stickers as eyes if needed. Draw other features on the toilet rolls using the black pen.
Your funny creatures are now complete. Perhaps you could build them a home out of an old box to encourage further play.
