- 2 x White A4 card/ paper
- Oil Pastels
- Watercolour paints
- Cardboard (optional)
- Wool/ sequins/ scrap paper (optional for decorating!)
Start by drawing out the base of your cupcake either on cardboard or on a piece of white card. Then cut it out.
Next on a piece of card draw the top of your cupcake. Think of a bumpy cloud shape when you’re drawing it. Then cut it out.
Using oil pastels draw vertical lines on the base of the cupcake to look like a patty cake. Then choose a colour that will contrast with your lines and paint the base. Next draw tiny spots or short lines with your oil pastels in a variety of colours on the top of the cupcake to look like sprinkles.
Using a warm colour paint (red, orange, yellow, pink) paint the top of your cupcake!
Leave your page for a couple of minutes until the paint is dry. If you’re using sequins and wool bits to decorate you can go ahead and decorate your cupcake how you want. If you don’t have these bits at home, you can use paint on some scrap paper and cut shapes out of that to use for decorating.
Once you have finished decorating your icing, glue the base of the cupcake to the top. Voila! You are done.
