- Oil pastels
- Coloured card A6
- Coloured card A5
- White card A5
Take a piece of A5 card, this can be any colour. Draw a cake shape using up all the space the card offers.
Cut the shape out and decorate it with oil pastels. You can use any sort of art materials to decorate the cake, examples paint, markers, pencils, or you could rip paper up and glue it onto the cake it is up to you. Get creative!
Next, take a variety of A6 size coloured card pieces, and draw a bunch of different size egg shapes. Again decorate and cut out.
To make the icing on the cake, trace the top part of the cake on another A5 piece of card, and trace the edges of the second tier of icing which is in the middle of the cake. Draw the rest of the dripping icing and cut the shapes out.
Now you can begin building your cake. Glue the icing on and then all the eggs you have decorated.
You can put a hole in the top and tie a piece of string to it and hang the cake on the wall or door in preparation for Easter!
