Cardboard Animal Puppet
Materials
  • Heavy cardboard box
  • Watercolours
  • Brush
  • Water bowl
  • Skewers
  • Black marker
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue
Step 1

Cut a few A6 sized cardboard rectangles and draw some animal faces shapes with a pencil onto each rectangle. Circles are great for a bear and triangles make great foxes.

Step 2

Cut the shapes out and draw cute animal faces in pencil.

Step 3

Find your paints and add some colour. When they are dry you can glue extra things to your animals or leave as is.

Step 4

Draw on some cute faces with the black marker. You’re nearly done.

Step 5

With the pointy end of your skewer poke it into the bottom of each cardboard animal, where there is a gap in the thickness. You could also tape the skewer onto the back of the animal face.

The puppets are made and it’s time to put on an animal puppet show!
